RE:JOY
RE:JOY explores joy as a radical, resistant force in times of crisis. Four dancers channel exhaustion and rebellion into energy, resilience, and shared euphoria. Drawing from contemporary dance and club culture, the performance creates intense physical experiences amplified by pulsating electronic sound. Joy emerges not as naive escapism, but as a transformative, political, and artistic strategy—a collective act of reclaiming the body as a source of strength and resistance.
RE:JOY was created during ChoreoLab international, co-produced by TanzLabor ROXY Ulm (artistic direction: Pablo Sansalvador), Theatre Nacional de Catalunya and Korso Theater. With fundings from LaFT Baden-Württemberg, LBBW and the city of Ulm.
