In her solo performance I BLEED GOLD, Karolin Stächele invites the audience into a world of contrasts. Drawing on her experiences as a dancer, single mother, musician, freelancer, and woman, she transforms her personal journey into a living medium where transpersonal emotions flow freely through dance, music, and words. Resisting conformity, she rises again and again in cycles of struggle and renewal, celebrating profound emotional depth and unfolding a heroine’s journey shaped by the unseen battles of everyday life.
I BLEED GOLD is a production by the DAGADA dance company in co-production with E-WERK Freiburg. The project is funded by the Freiburg Cultural Office and the Landesverband Freie Tanz- und Theaterschaffende Baden-Württemberg e.V. (State Association of Independent Dance and Theater Artists of Baden-Württemberg), supported by funds from the Ministry of Science, Research, and the Arts of the State of Baden-Württemberg. The research for I BLEED GOLD was supported by Labor à trois, a cross-border residency program by Roxy Birsfelden, Pôle Sud CDCN Strasbourg, and Tanznetz Freiburg in cooperation with E-WERK Freiburg. With the kind support of bewegungs-art freiburg and Crossfit Black Forest.
